BORDER | Tomasz Tomaszewski | Lutherplatz

The walk-in composition is based on the phenomenon of reflection. It consists of 14 varying sized prisms that are made of painted wood plates and placed on a 10 x 7 m space. The large prisms are mirrored on one side. The mirror wall is the eponymous Border, on the one hand it dissolves into endlessness, and on the other hand it is underlined by the contrast between black and white. By using mirrors, the artist creates new shapes and images that form by merging real objects and their reflections into one new and surprising piece. (Fot. Grzegorz Stadnik)
